Mainframe Developer

Hello,We have 3 urgent openings for a "Mainframe Engineer". These are hybrid roles.Core ResponsibilitiesApplication Maintenance: Maintain and optimize existing mainframe applications, focusing on COBOL, CICS (online and batch), and JCL environments.Logic & Event Analysis: Research and review existing mainframe logic to determine how events behave and document findings for technical stakeholders.Database Management: Manage data and execute complex queries using DB2 and SQL.Independent Research: Independently analyze system behaviors and conduct thorough design reviews to identify potential improvements or risks.Collaborative Development: Partner closely with developers to refine technical stories and requirements within an Agile environment. Ability to understand API driven cloud applications and collaborate with modernization teams.Debugging & Troubleshooting: Perform end-to-end analysis and debugging of production issues, including the ability to look deeply into system logs.AI Integration: Use Copilot and other AI-assisted tools to facilitate code research, analysis, and maintenance tasks.Top Required SkillsMainframe Tech Stack: Deep expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.Domain Knowledge: Professional experience in the BFSI sector, specifically within Brokerage, corporate actions, Trade Settlement, or loan origination.Data & SQL: Strong understanding of DB2; knowledge of Oracle, SQL or other distributed databases is highly preferred.Cloud & Modernization Basics: Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and distributed systems to assist with potential modernization transitions.Agile Tools: Proficiency in Jira for task tracking and project management.Distributed Architecture: Understanding of REST APIs and the basic functionality of distributed web applications.ABOUT US:Anagh Technologies is a technical consulting firm specializing in UI, Front-End, and Full-Stack web technologies.
