DBT(Data Build Tool) Admin With Databricks - Azure Stack
The ideal candidate is a DBT Platform/Administrator with strong Azure Databricks experience, who can independently manage DBT environments and production deployments. Candidates whose experience is limited to developing DBT models without hands-on DBT administration, CI/CD, environment management, and Databricks support will not be the primary fit.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support DBT Core / DBT Cloud environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.Configure and manage DBT projects, environments, jobs, schedules, connections, credentials, and deployments.Manage integration between DBT and Azure Databricks using the appropriate DBT Databricks adapter.Configure and support Databricks SQL Warehouses, catalogs, schemas, and Unity Catalog.Manage DBT job execution, scheduling, dependencies, and deployment workflows.Monitor DBT jobs and troubleshoot failed builds, tests, deployments, and production issues.Manage DBT profiles, targets, variables, packages, macros, and project configurations.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for DBT deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools.Manage source-code repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, code promotion, and release processes.Configure authentication and secure connectivity between DBT, Databricks, and Azure services.Work with Azure Service Principals, OAuth, secrets, tokens, and access controls.Manage Databricks permissions and access through Unity Catalog.Support DBT commands such as dbt debug, dbt compile, dbt run, dbt test, and dbt build.Troubleshoot SQL compilation errors, dependency issues, connectivity problems, permissions issues, and failed DBT runs.Monitor performance and optimize DBT models and Databricks workloads where required.Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, DevOps teams, Data Architects, and Business Intelligence teams.Establish and maintain standards for DBT project configuration, deployment, security, monitoring, and production support.Create technical documentation, operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.Participate in production support and incident resolution.
