Job Summary And ResponsibilitiesAs a Quality Patient Safety Professional, you will develop, implement, and monitor programs to enhance patient safety and drive continuous quality improvement.Every day you will conduct risk assessments, analyze adverse events, identify root causes, and recommend evidence-based strategies. You will also collaborate with clinical teams and regulators, providing education and guidance on best practices.To be successful, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of patient safety principles, quality improvement, and healthcare regulations. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to influence change will be crucial for fostering a culture of safety and achieving exceptional patient outcomes.Facilitates development and implementation of data collection tools and processes including, the ability to identify data elements needed to complete appropriate measurement, perform timely data collection and abstraction per specifications, and validate data prior to submission or preview reports prior to publication.Generates reports and analyses to support related quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and operational effectiveness using key statistical tools, including but not limited to, run charts, bar charts, pie charts, control charts, and cause and effect diagrams. Analyzes data and identifies key findings and develops action plans. Presents complex data with simplicity of design in a clear, easy to understand format.Learns, understands and becomes proficient in relevant facility, CommonSpirit Health and external data sources and systems including, but not limited to, clinical process and outcome data, electronic health record data, event reporting data, and patient complaints, etc. (e.g. Midas+, IRIS, iVOS, ATLAS, etc.). Assists in designing, developing, maintaining and updating clinical and other databases based on department and organizational needs.Collaborates on multidisciplinary teams and provides analytical support for various projects related to quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and outcomes, as appropriate.
