As a Software Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting CIS’ custom software solutions.

You show up, on time. You take ownership of a problem until it's resolved. When you don't know the answer, admit it and research the problem You keep your composure with a frustrated customer. You care as much about the team's results as your own.
What You’ll Do
Provide first-level technical support for CIS's public safety software applications, working directly with agency staff to diagnose and resolve issues.
Rotate into after-hours, on-call support with the team — because these systems don't go down on a schedule.
Maintain and contribute to product documentation so the next person, including future you, aren’t starting from zero.
What you need to already have:
A track record of following through — a job, program, or commitment you stuck with and finished, not just started. The ability to troubleshoot a problem you've never seen before without panicking or giving up. Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be writing what you did and why, not just doing it.
What You’ll Bring
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL (Preferred)
Experience with basic networking concepts (Preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Self-motivated mindset with a desire to learn and implement solutions
Flexibility to adapt in a changing environment and manage multiple priorities
Nice To Have(s)
Public safety or emergency response software experience a plus
Degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related degree is desired
Requirements
Must successfully pass a deep criminal history background check
