Databricks & Python Application EngineerWe are seeking a Databricks & Python Application Engineer to join our Front Office Derivatives technology team. This role focuses on integrating existing Strats workloads into Databricks, providing operational support for compute processes, and contributing to Python development. The position requires strong technical depth, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex compute environments in a fast-paced trading setting.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the migration of Strats applications to DatabricksDiagnose and resolve cluster, job, configuration, and runtime issuesPerform detailed log analysis and troubleshoot compute failuresEnsure stability, reliability, and performance of Databricks workflowsDevelop and maintain Python scripts, utilities, and enhancementsWork closely with the lead Python developer on coding and integration tasksDebug and resolve application issues across multiple environmentsSupport end-of-day (EOD) compute processes for trading teamsAnalyze and resolve environment, server, and memory-related issuesWork directly with traders, quants, and Strats to troubleshoot operational problemsCreate, manage, and follow up on infrastructure and platform ticketsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in software development or application supportStrong Python programming fundamentalsHands-on experience with Databricks or equivalent compute platforms (GCP, Azure, Snowflake)Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, especially in compute workflowsProven ability to troubleshoot logs, compute jobs, cluster issues, and environment failuresExperience working across both Windows and Linux environmentsExcellent communication skills and comfort interfacing directly with front-office usersBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fieldCapital Markets / Front Office derivatives exposure is beneficial but not required
