Manufacturing Engineer
Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Composites (Rotorcraft / UH-60)Location: Corpus Christi, TXClearance Requirements: NonePosition Status: ContractPosition DescriptionWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in aerospace composites and rotorcraft systems to support production operations in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This role focuses on composite main rotor blade manufacturing, including process development, bonding certification, and troubleshooting production issues.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in composites manufacturing, rotor blade systems (UH-60 preferred), and hands-on process improvement within aerospace or defense environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for composite rotor blade systemsDesign and improve production workflows, tooling, and equipment layoutsLead and support bonding processes and bond cycle certification activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve blade-level manufacturing defects and production issuesInterpret and apply engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiencyEnsure compliance with aerospace standards and quality requirements (AS9100 or similar)Utilize systems such as SAP and Solumina for production tracking and executionSupport continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologiesRequired Skills/EducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience working with composite rotor blade systems (UH-60 preferred)3+ years of experience with bond cycle certification for composite bonding tools/processesProven ability to troubleshoot blade-level faults in manufacturing environmentsHands-on experience with SAP and SoluminaExperience with component technical specifications and engineering documentationStrong understanding of composite materials, bonding processes, and aerospace manufacturing techniquesPreferred QualificationsExperience with UH-60 rotorcraft systemsSix Sigma Green Belt or similar process improvement certificationKnowledge of AS9100 or aerospace quality standardsPrior experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing environmentsAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
