Role Description:
We’re hiring a Senior Java Developer to join a global energy technology group, working on a large-scale internal platform used across the business. You’ll build and improve backend services, design clean and scalable APIs, and develop event-driven microservices as part of a distributed team, while helping shape technical decisions and supporting less experienced developers.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and improve backend services using modern Java and Spring BootDesign clean, scalable REST APIs and integrations with internal systems
- Develop event-driven microservices using Kafka and RabbitMQDeliver new features and improve performance with a distributed team
- Write well-tested, maintainable code and support production releases
- Support less experienced developers and contribute to technical decisions
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential: Senior-level commercial experience as a Java developer with modern Java (17+)Solid experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices on large, complex systems
- Hands-on Kafka and RabbitMQ messaging experience
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases, ideally PostgreSQLFamiliar with Git, CI/CD and automated testingAWS, Docker, Kubernetes and banking or large enterprise experience are a strong plus
- Freelancer with your own registered company, available to start immediately
