Healthcare Integration Architect – Cerner / Oracle Health
Emerging Tech is seeking an Healthcare Integration Architect to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role is responsible for leading system integration efforts across complex healthcare environments, ensuring alignment between clinical workflows, technical architecture, and enterprise standards. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with EHR systems, preferably Oracle Health/Cerner, along with deep expertise in systems integration, interoperability, and project delivery within large-scale healthcare or federal environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage system integration efforts across EHR and related healthcare platformsAlign clinical workflows, technical solutions, and enterprise architectureOversee end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and performance trackingEnsure integration across EHR systems, ancillary systems, and third-party applicationsTrack and manage project schedules, costs, and performance metricsIdentify integration risks, system gaps, and dependencies, and drive mitigation strategiesCollaborate with clinical stakeholders, technical teams, and federal partners to ensure successful deliverySupport the design, development, and enhancement of healthcare IT systemsProvide technical guidance on interoperability, system compatibility, and workflow optimizationWillingness and ability to travel 70%Qualifications10+ years of professional experience in healthcare IT or enterprise IT environmentsStrong experience with systems integration and interoperability such as HL7, FHIR, or APIsExperience managing or leading complex IT projects or integration effortsDeep understanding of SDLC and project lifecycle methodologiesExperience tracking cost, schedule, and performance metricsAbility to identify and mitigate risks effectivelyBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degreePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal healthcare programsExperience with Oracle Health/Cerner EHR systemsExperience supporting large-scale EHR implementations or modernization effortsExperience in clinical solutions, ancillary systems, business operations, or reporting tools such as Power BI or DiscernCompensation for this role is expected to be in the range of $100,000 to $125,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
