Job Title: Activities Host / Event Host – Senior Community (Evenings) Location: 715 N Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025 Pay: $25 per hour Job Type: Part-time / Contract Job Overview We are looking for a friendly, energetic Event Host to help lead fun social events for residents at a senior community in Escondido, CA. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with others, creating a lively atmosphere, and helping residents have a great time. Events may include karaoke nights, movie nights, and monthly birthday celebrations. Strive provides all necessary equipment, so the main focus of the role is hosting the event, encouraging participation, and creating a fun and welcoming experience for residents. Responsibilities Host and facilitate community events such as karaoke nights, movie nights, and birthday celebrations Create an upbeat, welcoming environment for senior residents Help operate karaoke equipment and manage song requests Engage with residents and encourage participation Assist with basic setup and cleanup before and after events Ensure events run smoothly and on schedule Qualifications Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking in front of small groups Enjoys engaging with older adults and creating positive experiences Reliable and punctual Ability to create a fun, welcoming environment for residents Preferred Qualifications Experience hosting events, leading activities, or working with seniors Background in entertainment, recreation, hospitality, or community programming Comfortable managing music playlists or karaoke systems Schedule Approximately 4 events per month Evening events (dates vary each month) Each event is approximately 2 hours Compensation $25 per hour Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Work Location: In person
