GovCloud Data Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)
For our client, we are seeking a GovCloud Data Infrastructure Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.This role will focus on designing and operating secure cloud infrastructure that supports data platforms in a highly regulated environment. You will partner closely with engineering and security stakeholders to build reliable, scalable systems that enable compliance, performance, and operational excellence. The position also plays a key role in automating infrastructure, strengthening observability, and supporting business intelligence capabilities across multiple environments.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $100,000 – $155,000 annuallyResponsibilities Design and implement AWS GovCloud infrastructure with a focus on compliance and security Establish PostgreSQL databases with performance optimization and backup strategies Create infrastructure as code using Chef for automated server provisioning and management Integrate application access controls and secure authentication systems Deploy business intelligence infrastructure and optimize for performance and user management Architect multi-environment systems aligned with AWS best practices Develop monitoring and observability systems for data pipelines and infrastructureQualifications 6+ years in infrastructure engineering and operations, with at least 3 years of AWS experience Strong PostgreSQL administration skills, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security configurations Experience building cloud infrastructure from scratch, ideally in greenfield environments Proficiency in Chef for infrastructure as code, including creating cookbooks and recipes Strong Python programming skills for automation and monitoring tasks Experience with enterprise identity management, specifically Google SAML integration Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and GitLab, along with configuration managementBenefits Market-leading compensation and equity awards Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge Paid parental and adoption leave Professional development opportunities for all employees Vibrant office culture with world-class amenities Great Place to Work Certified™ globallyOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
