Position SummaryNecco has an opportunity for a career as a Community Behavioral Health Intern. This role will provide value to the company by supporting the activities of the team and being a liaison to Community Behavioral Health. Ridiculously passionate about the company’s success, growth, and program quality.The Candidate Selected Will Be Responsible For The FollowingData EntrySubmit all documentation in a timely, accurate, and complete mannerUnderstand Medicaid requirements and billing processLearn and execute Necco’s core software applicationsCaseload Management & ProductivityAssist with Clinical Intakes and ensure medical necessity is metAssist the treatment planning process from intake to discharge based on client diagnosis and needLearn to provide individual, family and group mental health services, as requiredAssist with completing accurate client records per regulationsConsult with parents, school personnel or other treatment team members to address client’s diagnosis, progress and barriers as needed.Crisis Prevention/Risk ManagementLearning to conduct safety planning, as neededSubmit critical incidents or other risk-related concerns in a timely mannerFurthering skills in therapeutic interventions in a trauma-informed wayLearn how to conduct assessments for medical necessityLeadership and DevelopmentParticipate in clinical and/or billing supervisionCollaborate with the treatment team and attend team meetingsWorks on growth and development of the clinical program through community outreach and marketingIntern SpecificDevelop a learning contract that marries the intern’s educational requirements with tasks and responsibilities of their positionCreate an overarching internship project that benefits the intern as a learner and NeccoCorporate CitizenPractice ruthless pragmatismEngage in peer to peer feedbackKnow and live the Necco Corporate Culture PrinciplesEmbody the three essential virtues of humble, hungry and smartDrive your Evaluation ProcessAdhere to and contribute to the Necco meeting structurePosition QualificationsMinimum of 21 Years of AgeMinimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services-related field and currently enrolled in a Mental health graduate program (MSW, MS, Counseling)Valid Driver’s LicenseAuto Insurance 100/300/100Training and Travel willingnessExcellent organizational and technological skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSuccessful completion of all required criminal background checksMust possess the skills to navigate and execute software programs (i.e Microsoft Office, Database, Electronic Health Record, Dashboard)Must have the ability to identify issues and willingness to discuss with appropriate teammatesMust have the ability to enter timely and accurate dataMust have the ability to adhere to scheduled and unplanned deadlinesAt Necco, we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable work environment.
