Level IV Central Office Installer - National Travel

Our client is looking for Lead Techs to support their end clients. When local work isn't available it will be a national traveling project. Their EF&I team is supporting leading providers in the telecom, broadband and Fortune 10 companies. They primarily use Ciena/Infinera equipment and expect someone to run a site on their own, handle site administration paperwork, and run proper cabling to Ciena 6500s, build out ladder rack if needed (lacing and stitching is required). They are looking for candidates who want a long‑term opportunity. Job Title Level IV Lead CO Installation Technician Responsibilities Lead the installation efforts of DWDM optical equipment in a CO environment. Install infrastructure such as fiber, fiber troughs, ladder racks, and cabinets. Perform fiber testing (training provided). Install Ciena DWDM and/or Infinera DWDM 7100 equipment. Travel Details Travel time will be paid up to 8 hrs. Hotel, car rental and flights will be prepaid; all other expenses such as parking, meals, incidentals will be reimbursed with receipts. Mileage reimbursement for private vehicle use. Team members typically on the road for 2 weeks with weekend downtime. Skills Central office installation, optical, circuit, telecommunication. DWDM, Ciena, Infinera. Additional Skills & Qualifications Level 4 installer experience with DWDM and understanding of long‑haul routes. Experience in fiber cleaning and scoping. Must pass drug, background, and DMV checks. Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Newark, NJ. Pay $35.00 – $38.00 per hour. Benefits Medical, dental & vision.
