Job overview TE Connectivity (TE) Global Logistics, Americas has an opportunity for logistics distribution support. The logistics distribution support performs and oversees all functions associated with material movement through the distribution center, including material handling, paperwork, and recordkeeping. Operates powered order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, electric/manual pallet jacks, stretch wrapping machines, laser scanners, etc. May be required to lift to 50 lbs. and work at heights (up to 30 ft). Follows all DC procedures and demonstrates an understanding of DC standards and goals to achieve total customer satisfaction. Perform all functions accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for knowing and confirming the TE connectivity quality policy.Oversees receiving/put away responsibilities: loading and unloading trucks and interfacing with common carriers. Signature of bill of ladings for incoming shipments and processes IBL, packing lists for receipts from vendors using SAP verification of incoming products against documentation for accuracy, sorting the products, and preparing them for put-away. Receive products into SAP using barcode scanners or computers. Put products away in available space by proper area/zone using order pickers, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners. Breaking down / lumping of floor-loaded containers.Oversees picking: coordination of daily workload with workload planner such as picking products for customer orders, manufacturing orders, and sample requests using barcode scanners, order pickers, turret trucks, and manual or electric pallet jacks. Performs other put-away and pick duties, such as bin location audits, unit load, and carton transfers. Weigh or hand count quantities needed to fill customer orders, manufacturing orders, and sample requests.Oversees packing: performs packing function by reviewing customer packing specifications. Performs special packaging, printing, and applies special labeling as required by each customer. Understands and follows the 107 specifications. Recognizes hazardous/flammable material and prepares for shipment per established procedures.Oversees shipping: prepares cartons and pallet loads for shipment with the proper shipment and carrier documentation. Preparation of palletized shipments with stretch wrap or banding. Generates manifests and bill of ladings for each shipment, checking against actual carton count in the staging area. Contacts common carriers to arrange pickup for shipments. Loads and unloads cartons to/from pallets, carts, or conveyors by using a forklift and manual or electric pallet jack.High school/G.E.D. education required. 1 year of relevant experience as determined by the supervisor, DC operations. Computer skills SAP proficiency. Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365. Total compensation = base salary + incentive(s) + benefits.
