Entertainment Security - Doorstaff

We are looking for highly alert and professional Entertainment Security Guards to work in Portland's vibrant nightlife scene, providing security services at nightclubs, bars, and other entertainment venues. As a member of our entertainment security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and staff, enforcing venue policies, and maintaining order during peak hours. Your role will include crowd control, de-escalating potential conflicts, and assisting with emergency situations, all while delivering top-notch customer service. Key Responsibilities: Greet patrons and assist with access control, including ID checks and pat-downs, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the venue Maintain a visible presence to deter unruly behavior, ensuring a safe environment for all guests Monitor venue for potential security risks, including intoxicated or aggressive individuals, and take appropriate action Handle conflicts or altercations in a calm, professional manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques Ensure compliance with venue policies and local regulations, including alcohol consumption laws Assist in escorting patrons off the premises when necessary Collaborate with venue staff and management to ensure smooth operations Provide assistance in emergency situations, including crowd control and first aid response if needed Complete incident reports and communicate any security-related issues to management Job Type: Part-time Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Referral program Retirement plan Schedule: 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Evening shift Weekends as needed Weekends only Experience: Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Portland, ME (Preferred) Work Location: In person
