Welcome to INNIO!The Inbound & Outbound Transportation Manager will lead the implementation and operational management of the stand-alone Control Tower solution for the Jenbacher New Unit business in the US. This role oversees end-to-end inbound and outbound material and product transportation flows, from supplier ready-for-pickup to final delivery at global destinations. The position carries full budget responsibility and requires strong project leadership, logistics expertise, and carrier management capabilities.What you'll do:Control Tower Implementation & Project LeadershipLead the implementation of the stand-alone Control Tower solution for inbound and outbound logistics flowsAnalyze current-state processes and develop future-state models to optimize inbound, outbound logistics for New UnitsConduct value assessments, evaluate business model options, and drive the process design and rollout.Depending on growth and volume build and lead a small team of Transport/Logistics domain experts going forwardInbound Transportation ManagementManage all inbound transportation operations from supplier-ready-for-pickup to delivery at destinationOversee daily inbound transport operations to ensure cost-efficient, on-time performanceOwn and manage an annual inbound logistics budgetOutbound Transportation ManagementOversee all outbound transportation into North America and inside North AmericaManage shipment planning, freight booking, and export documentation in collaboration with logistics partners and Master Planning teamEnsure compliance with global trade regulations, customs requirements, and export control policiesMonitor outbound service levelsOptimize outbound transportation modes, routing, consolidation strategies, and cost structuresPartner with internal teams to align shipping plans and prioritiesCarrier Strategy & ProcurementDevelop RFQ (Request for Quotation) requirements and documentation for all modes in strong alignment with the in-direct Procurement Team (air, ocean, road, parcel, courier).Lead GSA RFQ negotiations and supplier selection across the global carrier portfolio in partnership with Procurement TeamMake strategic decisions on carrier mix to achieve cost, service, and reliability targets across inbound and outbound networks.Carrier & Vendor Performance ManagementManage and develop carrier relationships with regular performance reviews and business cadenceOversee KPI management for both inbound and outbound transportation performanceIdentify underperformance trends and lead corrective action initiatives with carriers and control tower partnersContinuous Improvement & OptimizationAnalyze inbound and outbound logistics performance to identify cost savings, process efficiencies, and service improvementsDrive digitalization, automation, and workflow enhancements within the Control Tower modelSupport cross-functional alignment with Procurement, Operations, Project Management and Planning & Logistics and Finance stakeholdersWhat you'll have:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.7+ years of experience in logistics project management, transportation operations, or control tower environmentsStrong analytical capabilities and proven ability to drive process optimizationExperience in carrier negotiations and performance managementExcellent communication and stakeholder leadership skillsWhat will help you stand out:Experience with CEVA Logistics or 4PL/Control Tower modelsKnowledge of global inbound and outbound transportation networksFamiliarity with export processes, customs requirements, and trade complianceStrong skills in KPI design, reporting, and logistics analyticsWork EnvironmentDynamic global supply chain environment requiring collaboration with suppliers, carriers, control tower teams, and internal cross-functional partnersMay require occasional travel to suppliers, logistics hubs, or 4PL operations sites and the sister plant in JenbachAdditional Details:Location: Waukesha, WIWork Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)Travel: May require occasional travel to suppliers, logistics hubs, or 4PL operations sites and the sister plant in JenbachVisa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the foreseeable future.#INNIO #logisticsjobs #transportationmanager
