Tax Return Preparer/Reviewer

Job DescriptionTax Return Preparation and Review:Come join our team! We are seeking a full-time Tax Accountant (minimum of 30 hours). We offer flexible hours, competitive pay, and a great team of colleagues and clients. We pride ourselves on flexibility and facilitating a healthy work-life balance.Responsibilities:Attend weekly virtual team meeting.Work closely with clients and our team to prepare and review annual income tax returns and other returns (e.g. 1099s, sales tax returns, property tax forms).Conduct tax research.Prepare financial statements for internal management use only (no compilations, reviews or audits).Assist with tax planning and monthly accounting responsibilities, especially in the off season.Communicate with clients. At times you will need a quiet area to talk to clients on the phone during normal business hours. Otherwise, you can work whenever you prefer.Qualifications:Bachelors of Accounting degreeMinimum of three years (or equivalent) full-time tax prep experience for business.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordHave working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop.Exhibit strong communication skills in a professional manner.Ability to work independently while also collaborating well with colleagues.Able to meet strict deadlines.Permanent citizenship or a work visa is required.Company DescriptionWe are a boutique accounting firm specializing in financial accounting, taxes and estate planning for a nationwide client base.
