Mechanical Assembler
Eversoft, Inc. is an industry leader in water conditioning technology and services. Based out of Long Beach, CA, we're celebrating 50 years in operation! We have an opening for an assembler of our water conditioning equipment who will work in an open warehouse environment.
The person selected must possess experience in mechanical assembly in a similar field of employment, have the ability to learn rapidly and have a refined sense of detail when applied to the assembly process. The following summary and duties are an outline of the position but not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Job summary
Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a warehouse environment in a busy service organization.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Read, interpret and follow basic instructions, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun
Performing soldering, which is the process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal (solder) into the joint
Maintain inventory of product in work stations
Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects and notify warehouse manager when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to written instruction or specifications
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualification requirements
High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years mechanical assembly experience required
Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required or must possess equivalent experience in a similar field.
Valid driver license
Physical demands and abilities
Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
Stand, crouch, kneel, bend and flex for long periods of time during the assembly process
Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Occasionally operate a company vehicle
This position works Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with some instances of working after 4 p.m. to accomplish the tasks of the day.
