Employment Type: 4 months Contract Possibility ExtensionJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Verification and Validation Engineer to work onsite on an aerospace project involving a Smoke Detection System.The role includes verification & validation (V&V), test rig setup of OP and MP software. The majority of the work will focus on verification and validation activities, with some involvement in debugging and bug fixing based on client requirements.You will collaborate closely with systems, hardware, and verification teams to integrate and test embedded components communicating through ARINC and CAN protocols.Key Responsibilities:Perform High- and Low-Level verification of embedded components on target hardware and simulators.Debug and analyse issues observed during review and verification activity.Log the issue found during verification in JIRA and discuss with developerSet up and configure the rig/test environment.Assist the client in fixing EICAS and SDS simulator issueInterface with ARINC 429 and CAN protocol-based subsystems for communication and validation.Collaborate with verification teams to support smoke detection system testing.Support smoke detection system validation by ensuring accurate data exchange between modules.Document test configurations, integration results, and defect reports.Update the verification test and results in JIRA PRsCoordinate with cross-functional teams (Systems, V&V, and Hardware).Required Skills:6+ years of experience in requirement-based verification and validation.Knowledge of embedded CKnowledge of DO178B/C standardsStrong understanding of real-time embedded systems and low-level firmware.Hands-on experience of high level and low-level verification and validation.Solid working knowledge of ARINC 429 and CAN protocols.Experience using tools such as BusTools/ARINC, CANalyzer, EICAS/CMS Simulators, etc.Knowledge of verification tool RTRTFamiliarity with debugging tools (e.g. ZAPCross Debugger, cosmic compiler).Experience in Test rig setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.Exposure to aerospace domain standards such as DO-178B/C preferred.Knowledge of Perl scriptStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering (or related field).Prior experience in avionics systems, preferably smoke detection or similar safety-critical systems.Experience working onsite with customer teams for integration and validation activities.
