Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in physiotherapy and patient management will help improve the mobility and quality of life for our patients. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments. Provide hands-on therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy and other modalities to enhance patient recovery. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately. Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, and rehabilitation goals. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health regulations. Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to effectively communicate with patients and staff. Requirements Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Knowledge of physiotherapy practices, including experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and outpatient settings. Familiarity with skilled nursing facility operations and home health care protocols. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Ability to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Previous experience in discharge planning is preferred but not mandatory.
