Infection Prevention And Control CoordinatorCoordinates, implements and evaluates the organization's infection prevention and control program.Coordinates the development and evaluation of the organization's infection prevention and control strategies, policies, and planning.Collects and performs statistical analysis, interpretation and dissemination of healthcare associated infection data, including risk assessment, surveillance priorities, and outcomes analysis.Monitors local, state and federal regulations and ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies' standards and requirements.Assists with the development of Infection Prevention educational resources and initiatives.Monitors research and developments in the field of infection prevention and control to identify best practices.Membership in either APIC (Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) or SHEA (Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America)Minimum Education:Bachelors in Applied Science, Nursing, Medical Technology, Microbiology, Epidemiology or other related fieldMasters Degree (Preferred)Required Skills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Licenses:Registered Nurse (RN) in State of Michigan (Preferred)Certifications:Certified Infection Control (CIC) within 2 years of hireMinimum Work Experience:2 Years of healthcare related experienceEqual opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran
