Role: Mobile Software EngineerLocation: AustinSalary: $130,000On behalf of a high-growth technology client, we are seeking a Senior Mobile & Data Systems Engineer to spearhead the development of a data-intensive mobile ecosystem.This role is for a mobile engineer who treats the device as a high-performance data node. You will design native applications that are not only highly responsive but also optimized for complex data synchronization, local edge processing, and high-throughput telemetry pipelines back to the cloud.Key ResponsibilitiesData-Centric Mobile Apps: Architect and build high-performance native applications (iOS/Android) optimized for intensive data handling and local storage management.Telemetry & Pipeline Integration: Design efficient local data ingestion pipelines on-device to capture, structure, and stream physical/sensor telemetry with zero data loss.Edge-to-Cloud Sync: Optimize low-latency, low-bandwidth data exchange protocols to seamlessly sync local device databases with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).Automated DevOps & Data Validation: Own mobile CI/CD pipelines, embedding automated testing specifically for data integrity, state synchronization, and schema migrations.AI-Accelerated Engineering: Actively leverage modern AI development tools and LLMs to accelerate prototyping, optimize data algorithms, and automate documentation.Technical RequirementsNative Mobile Mastery: Strong fundamentals in native development (Swift/Kotlin) with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and multi-threading.Mobile Data Engineering: Proven experience with local mobile databases (SQLite, Realm, CoreData) and structuring complex client-side data schemas.Protocols & Serialization: Expertise in networking protocols and efficient data serialization (JSON, Protobuf) for edge-to-cloud communication.DevOps & AI Automation: Hands-on experience with mobile build automation (Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and integrating AI tools into development workflows.Package & BenefitsCompetitive base salary ($130,000)Comprehensive 401(k), premium medical, dental, and vision.Highly flexible PTO and paid holidays.Rapid career growth in a progressive, high-performance engineering culture.
