Bookkeeper

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with expertise in financial software and the ability to accurately maintain our financial records. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial data, while also providing administrative support to our accounting department. **Duties:** - Manage and maintain the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries and reconciliations. - Perform bank and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records. - Prepare and manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and processing payments. - Process payroll and handle all related administrative tasks. - Perform double-entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. - Utilize financial software to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports. - Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with all tax regulations. - Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including answering phone calls and responding to emails. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all records and documents are accurate and up-to-date. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with a focus on financial software. - Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and financial software. - Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and accounts receivable processes. - Ability to perform bank and account reconciliations. - Experience with payroll and tax preparation. - Excellent organizational and administrative skills. - Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and analytical skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. - Experience as a clerk or in a similar role is preferred. **Skills:** - Account reconciliation - General ledger accounting - Accounts receivable - Bank reconciliation - Double entry bookkeeping - Financial software - Payroll - Clerk - Tax - Sage Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.83 - $20.69 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Physical Setting: Office Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Experience: Construction: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Milford, MA 01757 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Milford, MA 01757: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
