Our client, a well-established company in downtown State College, is seeking a Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a collaborative management team. Schedule: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Pay: $80,000+/year (based on experience) * This is a direct hire position with benefits. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate accounting records for multiple real estate and affiliated business entitiesManage daily bookkeeping activities, including cash books, journal entries, and account reconciliationsPerform monthly bank reconciliations and oversee internal financial transfersProcess accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and reimbursementsEnter journal entries and support month-end financial closingAssist with budgeting, month-end closing, and financial reportingPrepare profit and loss statements and comparative financial reportsCoordinate year-end financial documentation for tax preparationSupport payroll and benefits-related accounting transactionsUtilize QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and property management software to manage financial dataMaintain organized and confidential financial documentationThis position will also support additional accounting and operational tasks as needed to meet business objectives QualificationsMinimum of 3-5 years of accounting or financial data management experienceStrong understanding of accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with or ability to learn QuickBooks and property management softwareExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to handle sensitive financial information with discretion If you are a motivated accounting professional looking to join a stable company where your expertise can make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply today.
