Reliability Engineer
Overview
In this role you will drive reliability across the product lifecycle, partnering with cross-functional engineers to transform reliability data into actionable improvements. You will influence technical reviews and boards, ensuring designs meet reliability targets and contractual commitments. You’ll build models, analyze failure data, and guide corrective actions to reduce risk and improve field performance. This position sits within the Reliability & Test Engineering team, contributing to mission-critical systems that keep operations on schedule. You will engage with field sites and stakeholders to deliver robust reliability strategies and tangible impact.

ResponsibilitiesSupport FMECA analyses and create reliability block diagrams and quantitative predictionsTrack reliability growth plans and perform growth analysis to satisfy program contractsSupport design reviews, test events, and configuration control processes (ECP, CSB, CCB)Participate in CAB and FRB to drive root cause resolutionAnalyze FRACAS trends, prioritize failure modes, and recommend corrective actionsDevelop mathematical models to flag high-risk units or processes and propose changesDefine and implement statistical process control procedures and test methods to meet reliability targetsCompile performance reports, process statistics, and reliability documentation for stakeholdersCollaborate daily with engineers, program managers, and customers, delivering analytical input and written reportsTravel occasionally to field sites and facilities to support reliability initiativesDevelop and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of design concepts and DOE constructsAdvise on design or test methods and SPC procedures to achieve required reliability levelsCompile and analyze performance data and investigate variables affecting product and processesEnsure corrective measures meet reliability standardsDevelop reliability programs to meet organizational, customer, and regulatory objectivesPropose design or formulation changes to improve system or process reliabilityDetermine units/batches requiring environmental testing and specify sample sizes for valid data
