7th Gr. English Language Arts Teacher

We are seeking a 7th-grade English Language Arts teacher. We are seeking a candidate who will: Promote high levels of achievement. Promote and engage students in reading and writing. Use techniques and methodologies appropriate to student abilities. Implement the given curriculum with fidelity and in collaboration with the ELA teaching staff. Demonstrate knowledge of and abilities to use research-based principles of effective instruction. Organize instruction using learning objectives with clearly defined student outcomes Employ teaching strategies congruent with planned student outcomes. Select teaching strategies emphasizing student involvement. Monitor student learning and pace instruction accordingly. Develop and maintain an environment conducive to effective student learning Prepare effectively for class. Prepare daily lesson plans. Provide instruction predicated on course goals and objectives, aligned with the Massachusetts adopted standards. Communicate appropriate grading standards to students. Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate judgment in all interactions with staff, families, and students Have regular and punctual attendance. Provide other related duties that the Principal may assign Candidates must be MA certified as middle school ELA Teacher with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
