Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly technical hands-on leader to build and lead the global Outsourced Trading Desk (OTD) Technology team. This role owns all technology development and support for the OTD business, serving 20+ desk traders across New York, London, and Hong Kong.This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity within the global Prime Broker Services Technology group. The successful candidate will initially operate as a solo contributor, delivering immediate value to the business while building out a team of 1-2 members in the near term, growing to 4-6 as the business scales.ResponsibilitiesOwn the full technology stack supporting the OTD business globally - development, support, and strategic directionOperate hands-on as the primary developer and support contact, building new functionality and maintaining existing workflows from day onePartner directly with OTD traders and business leadership across New York, London, and Hong Kong to understand needs and deliver solutionsDesign and develop trading tools, reporting dashboards, data pipelines, and workflow automation for the deskProvide production support coverage, troubleshooting issues and ensuring continuity of trading operationsBuild and grow the OTD technology team - recruit, mentor, and manage 1-2 direct reports initially, scaling to 4-6 over timeCoordinate with the broader Prime Broker Services Technology group on shared platform components, architecture standards, and release processesDefine the technology roadmap for OTD, balancing tactical business requests with longer-term platform improvementsQualifications/ ExperienceStrong hands-on software engineering skills across multiple languages and platforms: Java, C#/.NET, SQL Server, Python, and scripting languagesExperience building reporting and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or similar BI platformsFinancial services technology background with direct exposure to trading desks, execution workflows, or prime brokerage operationsDemonstrated ability to operate independently - self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable owning problems end-to-endExperience managing or building small engineering teams, with strong people leadership and mentoring skillsAbility to support a global user base across US, EMEA, and APAC time zonesExcellent communication skills - able to work directly with traders and translate business needs into technical deliverablesAdditional Skills / PreferredDirect experience with outsourced trading, execution management systems (EMS/OMS), or multi-asset trading workflowsExperience with data visualization and desk-level reporting for front-office usersBackground in building teams from scratch - hiring, establishing processes, and scaling delivery capacityFamiliarity with messaging systems (Kafka, FIX protocol), real-time data, and trade lifecycle systemsTrack record of thriving in fast-paced, trader-facing environments where responsiveness and reliability are criticalBachelor’s degree is required preferably in Computer Science.
