Director of Community Engagement - Purpose of the RoleThe Director of Community Engagement will report to the Executive Director and work closely with both the Executive Director and Ripple Founder to strengthen, coordinate, and grow Ripple's community impact.Ripple is evolving from a primarily space-based nonprofit incubator into an accelerator of impact for nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and local changemakers. This role is designed for a relationship-centered, highly organized, entrepreneurial doer who is energized by building something new, creating structure and helping move ideas from conversation into action.This is a building-and-execution role. The right person will be comfortable being out in the community, activating relationships, coordinating programs and gatherings, supporting nonprofit and entrepreneur engagement, building simple systems, engaging audiences on social media ,and following through on details. They should be collaborative, proactive, and able to keep important work moving without needing every step defined in advance.Core ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Executive Director on Strategy and ExecutionWork closely with the Executive Director to clarify priorities, identify opportunities, and move key initiatives forward.Build and Strengthen Community RelationshipsDevelop and maintain relationships with nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, funders, civic partners, business owners, and community stakeholders.Activate Ripple's Space and Community PlatformOrganize participation in Ripple's physical space and community relationships. Engage a variety of audiences on social media.Support Ripple's Evolution into an Accelerator ModelHelp Ripple move from being primarily a space where nonprofits work to becoming a more intentional platform that helps nonprofits and changemakers grow capacity, build relationships, and increase sustainability.Build and Coordinate Shared Services and Community ResourcesHelp identify, build, and coordinate a shared services model that supports Ripple and the greater community.Coordinate Community Initiatives Across Ripple and Related EffortsHelp keep multiple community initiatives organized and moving forward in a focused, intentional way.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is relational, organized, entrepreneurial, and energized by building something meaningful.They should be able to move comfortably between people and systems: building relationships, listening for needs, identifying opportunities, organizing next steps, and creating simple structures that help good ideas become real.This person should be comfortable with some ambiguity.
