Automotive Parts Counterperson

Parts SpecialistSells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.Essential DutiesAssists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient mannerInforms customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product lineAnswers phone calls, providing price quotes and other informationReviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimatePulls and fills orders from stockNotifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attentionNotifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been receivedNotifies the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be deliveredPulls orders for delivery to body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job numberFollows up on back-ordered partsVerifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or requiredReplenishes assigned inventory dailyMakes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orderReceives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorizationEnsures that all charge sales are signed by the customerEnsures that all customers receive their copy of the invoiceIssues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verifiedSets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-upKeeps front and rear counter areas clean and unclutteredKeeps current on new products and product updatesParticipates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking programMaintains professional appearanceBenefitsHealth insurancePaid time offDental insurance401(k)Vision insuranceLife insurance401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programMarginal DutiesBeing a team playerAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentEffective communicatorOther duties as assignedPay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourSchedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5:30pmBud Clary Auto Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
