You’ll be at the heart of the customer transition experience, designing and executing complex data migrations that enable agencies to adopt Mark43’s systems with confidence. You’ll work across internal teams and with external partners to help deliver clean, meaningful, and high-quality data into Mark43 products.This role is a great fit for someone who thrives on solving complex puzzles, is energized by working with public safety data, and enjoys balancing technical depth with customer-facing collaboration.What you can expect to work on:If you were part of our team last week, you would have:Designed and executed a SQL-based ETL process to migrate decades of public safety data from a legacy system into the Mark43 platformCollaborated with our data migration contractors, reviewing technical deliverables and providing guidance to help them succeedMet with a customer’s records management team to understand their legacy data structure and translate it to the Mark43 schemaDug into a uniquely formatted source database to uncover edge cases and ensure data fidelityWorked alongside Mark43 deployment, engineering, and product teams to iterate on and improve our migration tooling and processBalanced project timelines and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersWhat we expect from you:We’re looking for a data migration engineer with 2+ years of experience in ETL development or SQL-based data engineering roles. You should have a comprehensive understanding of data migration processes and be comfortable owning projects from discovery through delivery. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a target base annual salary range of $80,000 - $100,000, plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k with a company match. Please note that the higher end of this range will be reserved for candidates with appropriate experience who reside in high cost of labor locations.
