We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) may include but are not limited to:Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic proceduresObtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicatedSelect proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessaryPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devicesDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistCheck the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary suppliesQualifications:Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved schoolValid ARRT certificationClear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAbility to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.BenefitsHCA Florida Brandon Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
