Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Job Description
An assistant strength and conditioning coach designs, implements, and supervises training programs to optimize athletic performance and reduce injury risks for student-athletes or teams. They collaborate directly with head coaches, sports medicine staff, and athletes. Core Responsibilities Program Design & Implementation: Create and lead sport-specific strength, speed, agility, and conditioning sessions for both in-season and off-season phases.Instruction & Supervision: Teach proper biomechanical lifting techniques, supervise weight room activities, and safely spot athletes.Athlete Monitoring: Administer physical and performance testing, track athlete progress, and evaluate data to adjust training variables.Rehabilitation Collaboration: Work alongside athletic trainers and sports medicine staff to modify exercises and aid in the recovery of injured athletes.Facility Maintenance: Help oversee daily operations, cleanliness, and inventory maintenance of the strength and conditioning facilities.Compliance: Ensure all training and team operations comply.CONTINUOUS NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATIONIt is the policy of the Albia Community School District not to discriminate on the basis of race,color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, creed, age (for employment), marital status (forprograms), sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status (for programs) in its educationalprograms and its employment practices.
