About Us: The Lost Fire is an Patagonian Wood Fire Grill House located in the heart of Kennebunkport, Maine. We pride ourselves on providing a unique dining experience with the finest butchered cuts of meats and exceptional service. We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our dynamic team. Job Description: As a Host at The Lost Fire, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that our guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor Manage reservations and seating arrangements Escort guests to their tables Provide guests with menus and answer initial questions Ensure that the front of house area is clean and presentable at all times Coordinate with the waitstaff to ensure efficient service Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials Assist in other duties as assigned by the management team Requirements: Previous experience as a host or in a customer service role is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Must adhere to The Lost Fire’s dress code and uniform standards: Shoes must be nonslip. Hair longer than shoulder length should be pulled back into a bun or clipped up and off the shoulders. 16 years of age or older encouraged to apply due to hours of operation.
