Senior Microbiologist

About the jobThe Sr. Microbiologist leads and supports microbiological testing, method development, and GMPdocumentation activities within a regulated pharmaceutical or medical device environment.We're looking for someone who● Holds a BA or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline● Has no less than 8 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical deviceenvironments● Has hands-on experience with method validation and method development● Has experience creating, revising, and maintaining SOPs and testing protocols● Has experience performing testing of in-process materials, raw materials, and finishedproducts● Has strong knowledge of GMP documentation practices● Communicates effectively and collaborates well with contract labs and cross-functionaldepartments● Is organized, detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, productive, and responsible● Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, compliantenvironmentWhat you'll do● Perform and oversee microbiological testing for raw materials, in-process samples, andfinished products● Develop and validate microbiological methods in accordance with regulatory standards● Create, revise, and maintain SOPs and laboratory protocols● Ensure accurate and compliant GMP documentation● Coordinate and communicate with contract laboratories● Collaborate with internal departments and other laboratories to support quality andproduction goals● Support investigations and troubleshoot microbiological issues as needed● Maintain organized laboratory records and ensure audit readiness
