Community Specialist

Job Summary:This role manages the Healthy Start Community Consortium to help improve health outcomes for mothers and babies in the community.Main Responsibilities:Plan and run community meetings, events, and trainingsGive presentations and attend community/health eventsShare information with the public and mediaBuild a network of health and support services (medical, mental health, early childhood)Work with teams and partners to improve programsSupport and guide other community organizationsAttend team meetings and keep communication activeRequired Skills & Experience:Experience organizing programs or community activities (at least 1 year)Good communication and presentation skillsAbility to coordinate events and work with groupsPreferred:2–3 years of community work experienceExperience with community development or Healthy Start programsEducation:Bachelor’s degree required (social work, public health, etc.)Master’s degree preferredOther Requirements:Valid driver’s license and transportationCPR certification (within 6 months)Background check requiredMostly remote work (4 days from home, 1 day in community)
