Learn more at www.meduitrcm.com.About The RoleAs a Medicaid Eligibility Representative, you will work directly within our client hospitals, making a difference by connecting uninsured hospital patients with crucial funding like Medicaid. You'll work directly with patients, assisting them in completing applications and gathering necessary paperwork, as well as coordinating with relevant government offices to establish eligibility.Title: Medicaid Eligibility RepresentativeSchedule: 8am - 4:30pm Eastern Time Zone, Monday – FridayLocation: Onsite - 18310 Montgomery Village Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20879Compensation: $19 - $21 per hour base Key ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully coordinate and manage the portfolio of applicants with support staffWork as a team player to meet both personal and group or office goals Conduct financial fact-finding interviews with patients who are seeking Medicaid and / or other community benefitsComplete Medicaid and other applicable applications/releasesMonitor all applicants who are eligible for Medicaid or other financial assistance or coverage plans, as requiredEnter clear and concise notes in the required patient accounting systems in both the hospitals and Meduit Health SystemsEnsure all supporting documents, including applications and receipts, are obtained and filed timelyAdhere to all policies and procedures and understand company handbookAdhere to all relevant regulations related to our involvement with Federal, State and local government programs as well as Meduit and our clients’ compliance programsSkills & CompetenciesCompassionCommunicationProblem-solvingTeamworkRequired Qualifications1 year of previous call center experience (In-office or Remote)High School Diploma/GEDExperience with electronic health record or similar software program Proficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsMay work occasional evenings and Saturdays Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, and InsuranceExperience with medical billing/claims processingTime management and sound decision-making skillsExperience providing excellent customer service in a variety of situations, including those that escalateEmployment EligibilityMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipAs a condition of employment, a pre-employment background check will be conductedWhat We OfferComprehensive paid training Medical, dental, and vision insurance HSA and FSA available 401(k) with company match Paid Wellness Time and Holidays Employer paid life insurance and long-term disability Internal growth opportunities Meduit is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
