THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT H.H.H. HEAD CUSTODIANS ONLY AT THIS TIMEA vacancy exists for the position of Head Custodian within the Half Hollow Hills School District Facilities Department. The opening is located at Vanderbilt Elementary School. The hours are 7:00a.m. – 3:30p.m., with both the building and hours subject to change based on the discretion and best interest of the school district. Knowledge of and experience in:Maintaining the physical plant in a safe and sanitary conditionSuccessfully being a first-line supervisor, accountable for a team of custodians ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unitResponding to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (i.e. facility damage, vandalism, alarms, etc.) for the purposes of taking appropriate action or notifying appropriate personnel for resolutionProviding feedback/follow up to the supervisor on life, health, safety, quality, and maintenance issuesPreparing written materials (i.e. supply requisitions, safety and subordinate inspections, work orders, inventory and attendance records, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities to administration for actionProperly operating and storing, perform scheduled maintenance, tune-ups and perform minor repairs to various types of equipment, including but not limited to snow blowers, leaf blowers, lawn movers, etc.Demonstrating the ability to work in a diverse environment (inside/outside) Demonstrating the ability to work effectively under time constraints and in an environment of constantly changing priorities, expectationsInterested candidates may apply using the "apply" link above or by visiting the district website - Career Opportunities https://www.applitrack.com/hhhny/onlineapp/.
