Paraprofessionals for the School Year - K-12 Openings

The Pittsford Central School District is seeking paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. Most positions will be working one-to-one with a student, helping them manage classroom tasks, behavioral expectations, and performing other duties as outlined by the classroom teacher, including but not limited to:Record keepingSupervision of student(s)Helping with daily planning of instructional outcomesAttending all pertinent meetingsCreating a welcoming and affirming learning environment for all studentsAssisting student(s) with academic assignmentsAssisting student(s) with their project research, library and media skills, and basic computer skills, etcPerforming routine clerical duties such as: copying, filing, data entry and compiling attendance reportsMonitoring and supporting the implementation of student(s) programsAssisting student(s) with their daily activities We have openings district wide (K-12) in all buildings. Your work schedule will vary depending on the assignment, but the school day consists of the following: School Level Start Time End Time Grades K-5 8:40 AM 3:05 PM Grades 6-8 7:35 AM 2:24 PM Grades 9-12 7:40 AM 2:21 PMFULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Successful candidates should possess the following:Working knowledge of the school organizationWorking knowledge of basic student desktops and laptopsAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to assist students with basic technological needsAbility to obtain student cooperation and attentionAbility to give instructionsAbility to work well with students and school personnelAbility to understand and deal with student behaviorAbility to maintain simple electronic recordsAbility to demonstrate dependabilityAbility to demonstrate good judgmentPossess physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
