Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Per Diem - West Valley Medical Center

DescriptionJoin our team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at UCLA West Valley Medical Center, where you will conduct various technical procedures. Your primary duties include specimen processing, method development, testing across multiple areas such as chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunoassay, and blood gases. You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory instruments, performing quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, and data entry. Salary Range: $75.23 - $75.23/hr Qualifications We're seeking a highly-skilled individual with:Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, required 4 years of high-volume CLS experience, requiredBachelor's degree, required Ability to pass Ishihara Color Vision Exam, requiredAbility to work rotating weekends and holidaysDemonstrated technical competence in high-volume chemistry/hematologyWorking knowledge of lab safety, basic lab skills (e.g., pipetting, dilutions, specimen integrity), and test methodologiesProficiency in practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions for making reagents and calculationsAbility to perform repetitive tasks such as pipetting and computer data entry
