This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee and expand outpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services while driving operational efficiency, patient outcomes, staff engagement, and departmental growth within a collaborative hospital environment. The Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation will provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership oversight for the outpatient rehabilitation department while partnering closely with executive leadership, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care excellence, departmental performance, and future growth initiatives. The Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation will oversee outpatient rehabilitation services across multiple clinic locations with a strong orthopedic patient population, ensuring high-quality care delivery and operational success throughout the division. The ideal candidate for the Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation role will bring progressive rehabilitation leadership experience, strong operational management skills, and a collaborative leadership style. The Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation will play a key role in supporting staff development, enhancing patient satisfaction, improving operational performance, and leading continued growth across the outpatient rehabilitation program. ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day operational leadership oversight for outpatient rehabilitation services across multiple therapy locationsLead, mentor, and develop therapy staff, aides, and support personnelSupport productivity management, labor optimization, staffing efficiency, and departmental workflowsPartner closely with executive leadership on operational planning, budgeting, and departmental growth initiativesAssist with financial oversight including budgeting, productivity metrics, labor management, billing awareness, and operational performance improvementFoster a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, patient-centered care, and operational excellenceSupport regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based clinical practicesProvide hands-on clinical support as needed within the department environmentCollaborate across outpatient therapy locations to ensure consistency in patient care delivery and operational standardsSupport staff engagement within a unionized workforce environment and help navigate departmental transitions and change management initiativesParticipate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives while maintaining visibility within the therapy departmentRequirementsMaster’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology requiredCurrent applicable clinical licensure requiredPrevious therapy leadership or rehabilitation management experience strongly preferredExperience within outpatient rehabilitation environments preferredStrong operational leadership, productivity management, and financial acumen requiredAbility to lead within a multi-site outpatient environment preferred, although strong single-site leadership experience may also be consideredPrevious experience within unionized environments or familiarity with collective bargaining environments preferredAbility and willingness to remain clinically engaged and assist with patient care when neededBLS certification requiredStrong communication, leadership, and team development skills requiredWashington State driver’s license requiredAdditional InformationFull-TimeDay ShiftOn-Site Leadership PositionHome-base outpatient location with flexibility to support multiple clinics as neededBenefitsThis opportunity offers a competitive annual salary range of $104,125-$145,766 based on experience, along with a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
