Currently operating in New York City, Bagzee primarily caters to JFK travelers seeking a seamless and stress-free experience.Role DescriptionWe're looking for a part-time City Manager to own Bagzee’s New York City market and play a critical role in launching, operating, and scaling the business locally. The expectation is ~20 hours per week with the expectation that the role will grow into full-time within the next few months.This person will be responsible for day-to-day operations, driver coordination, service quality, partner relationships, and market performance.This is a high-ownership role for someone who is equal parts operator, problem solver, and team leader. You should be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, building processes from scratch, and making sure customers have a seamless experience.What You'll Do Own Bagzee’s New York City market performance across operations, customer experience, and growthManage daily service execution for luggage pickup, airport storage, and delivery operationsRecruit, onboard, and manage local driver and operations teamsBuild schedules, dispatch workflows, and service processes to ensure reliability and efficiencyMonitor service levels, customer issues, and operational KPIs, then improve performance over timePartner with airport, hospitality, and local business stakeholders as neededTroubleshoot real-time operational issues and create scalable solutionsHelp launch new services, neighborhoods, and airport workflows in the NYC marketMaintain high standards for safety, chain of custody, and luggage handlingWork cross-functionally with leadership, product, marketing, and customer support to improve the local experienceGather customer and market insights to inform product and operational improvementsWhat We're Looking ForMust be located in/around NYC.4–8+ years of experience in operations, general management, marketplace operations, logistics, hospitality, or a similar fieldStart-up experience and interest.Experience managing field teams, vendors, or service operatorsStrong operational instincts and comfort working in fast-moving environmentsAbility to solve problems quickly and calmly in real timeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAnalytical mindset with experience tracking KPIs and improving processesComfortable working evenings, weekends, or flexible hours when needed in an operations-heavy businessStrong communication and relationship-building skillsEntrepreneurial mindset; excited to build in a startup environmentNYC experience strongly preferredNice To HaveExperience in airport operations, travel, hospitality, delivery, or on-demand marketplacesExperience launching a new market or scaling city operationsFamiliarity with dispatching, local logistics, or service marketplacesExperience working with hourly teams or independent contractorsMBA or MBA CandidateCompensationCompensation will be between $4,000-$,6000/month based on experience.
