CFD Engineer
Responsibilities:
•Act as a CFD analyst with responsibility of reviewing field issues and running simulations for the customers
•Provide technical support on CFD projects in the form of high-quality technical reports and presentations
•Able to interpret the flow physics and could assist customer in providing alternate solutions as required
•Analyze and predict internal and external fluid flow distribution executing CFD analysis using ANSYS Fluent
•Execute 3D CAD modeling for fluid body volume generation and geometry cleanup
•Discretize fluid body geometry domains with high-quality mesh creation
•Categorize and prioritize projects according to complexity and regions by clearly defining tasks and completion timelines
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or higher
•5-8 years of relevant experience in CFD (computational fluid dynamics) modeling
•Experience with CFD modeling software packages (ANSYS Fluent is highly preferred)
•Knowledge of numerical modeling and methods such as turbulence modeling, multi-phase and non-Newtonian fluids.
Should have hands on experience in post processing techniques such as particle tracking, movie clip creation
•Should have worked on unsteady (transient) simulations
Experience with 3D CAD packages (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
•Strong interest in and familiarity with downhole drilling process
Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work well in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively with the customers and project team
Highly motivated, articulate, self-starter and customer-oriented
Proficient in MS office products
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
