Transportation Supervisor

MHPS is accepting applications for a Transportation Supervisor;26-27 School Year; Salary Schedule: F-1; 247 day contract;QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in transportation or related field preferredExperience in general transportation operationsValid Arkansas Class B CDL with P and S endorsementJob Summary:Responsible for the organization, administration, supervision in the area of school district transportation system in accordance with state law and policies along with school district policies.Duties and Responsibilities:Organizes and implements a pupil transportation system in compliance with the policies of the Board of Education.Oversees the acquisition and implementation of transportation program software.Approves bus stops in as safe a location as possible.Approves transportation for field trips and athletic trips.Recruits, interviews, checks background and hires bus drivers, substitutes, and aides.Oversees the evaluation of transportation staff.Periodically checks the driving records of all bus drivers in order to assure student safety.Coordinates the professional development program of school bus driversMaintains personnel recordsKeeps records for preparation of state and loca reports such as inventories, students transported, route mileage, time records , special trip record, traffic accidents, and other required reports.Develops and communicates transportation procedures and regulations to schools, the public, and transportation staff.Makes recommendations that may improve transportation services and efficiency such as routing, rules, and regulations for drivers and pupil conduct.Is responsible for department public relations and addressing patron or employee concernsCommunicates regularly with various internal and external publics to develop and maintain a positive school/community relationship.Direct responsibility for the safety and well-being or work output of other people.Other duties as assigned.Complete Job Description can be found hereFor more information please visit our district website: www.mhbombers.comMenu, Job Application and Information, Apply for Employment;
