Grooming Salon Supervisor

Canine Connection’s grooming salon, Canine Culture, is NOW HIRING a Salon Supervisor. Applicants must be available to work flexible shifts on weekdays and weekends. The salon supervisor is responsible for the safety and security of pets, customers, associates, and other visitors, and ensure the proper care of all animals in the facility. The salon supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Canine Culture by effectively communicating, assigning, and following up on daily tasks and duties, motivating and ensuring employees are working toward a common goal. The ideal candidate must have flexible availability. The Salon Supervisor will work closely with Canine Connection’s managers. Applicants must have these qualities: · Strong customer service skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Dependable · Positive attitude · Excellent organization skills · Excellent problem-solving skills · Self-motivated · Task-oriented · Ability to multi-task · Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs · An excellent understanding of grooming terminology · A LOVE of Dogs & Cats The responsibilities of the Grooming Salon Supervisor will include: · Represent Canine Connection and Canine Culture in a professional manner. · Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests. · Oversee the daily operations of the grooming salon and self-wash area. · Having a proficient knowledge of all services we provide through Canine Culture and Canine Connection. · Maintain confidentiality of client information, company data, and employee information. · Directly supervise all salon employees. · Clearly communicate grooming services per customer instructions. · Ensure the safety and well-being of the animals. · Provide outstanding customer service. · Perform opening and closing procedures. · Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility. · Schedule grooming and bathing appointments. · Assist groomers and bathers when needed. · Maintain an inventory of supplies and assist in order placement when needed. · Daily cleaning of the self-wash area, and grooming salon. · Oversee the adherence of safety procedures. · Assisting clients when using the self-wash area. · Lifting dogs into and out of grooming tubs – ability to lift at least 50 lbs. is a must. · Bending, standing, cleaning, kneeling, and ability to walk dogs. · Will be crossed-trained to work in the boarding and daycare facility. Requirements: · Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED · Minimum 2 years supervisory experience · Experience working with dogs in a professional capacity Experience Preferred: · Experience working in a grooming salon · Experience scheduling grooming appointments You must be responsible, patient, dependable, caring and an ANIMAL LOVER to be considered for employment.
