Physical Health Coach for a mentoring program of youth ages 10-18.

About Us Boys2Men Mentoring (B2M) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring, empowering, promoting healthy habits, and equipping young men to succeed academically, socially, and personally. Position Summary We are seeking a Physical Health Coach who will develop and implement fitness programs for boys ages 10-18 as part of the Fit4Life program. This role focuses on guiding participants through physical exercises, promoting healthy habits, and fostering a positive, motivating environment. Key Responsibilities Design and lead group fitness sessions, including activities like obstacle courses, jogging, biking, and strength training. Teach proper exercise techniques and monitor progress to ensure safe and effective workouts. Develop personalized fitness plans based on participants' individual needs and goals. Motivate and inspire young participants to adopt healthy lifestyle habits and stay committed to their fitness goals. Work closely with the program team to recruit participants, ensuring program growth and engagement. Help with the program’s startup, including equipment setup and activity planning. Educate participants on the importance of physical health, regular exercise, and body respect. Track fitness progress and provide ongoing support, feedback, and encouragement. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during physical activities. Build relationships with parents and caregivers to support children’s fitness outside of sessions. Recruiting Qualifications Previous experience working with children, especially in fitness or youth development. Strong ability to motivate and inspire youth, with a positive and energetic attitude. Proven experience in helping recruit and start up new programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with children. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
