ResponsibilitiesLead process and application development using Veeco’s ion beam deposition and etch technologiesDesign, execute, and analyze experiments to meet customer requirementsCreate and maintain best known methods (BKMs) for process control and developmentDrive adoption of BKMs and new applications across teamsServe as technical expert to customers and help Marketing/Sales form strong partnershipsCollaborate with Sales/Marketing to define process specifications for Veeco toolsDevelop upgrades and hardware with Engineering for deposition and etch technologies
Key requirementsMinimum 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or PhD with 3 years in Physics, Materials Science, or related fieldProcess development experience in vacuum thin film technologyExperience with thin films for metals is highly desiredExpertise in semiconductor thin film technologiesKnowledge of device-level and module process integration in logic and/or memory fabricationStrong data analysis and interpretation for thin-film characterizationSelf-directedExcellent interpersonal/communication skillsCollaborative attitudeVacuum thin film technologyIon beam deposition and etch technologiesThin film characterization: four-point probe, stress, ellipsometry, absorption/transmission spectroscopy, XRD/XRR
