Senior SQL Server Cloud Database Administrator

We are working with a leading technology integrator and solutions provider that supports critical government missions with innovative engineering, IT, and science solutions. This organisation is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their dedicated team and contribute to significant national projects.The Role Lead SQL migration efforts from on-premises to AWS and Azure cloud environments. Design, implement, and maintain database architecture, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies. Configure, manage, and optimize AWS and Azure Cloud SQL and Managed Instances (MI). Mentor other DBAs on AWS and Azure Cloud best practices and automate operational workflows. Ensure the security, availability, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical database systems. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning for enterprise database platforms.What You'll Need Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in SQL Server administration; 4 years of experience can substitute for a degree. Expertise in migrating SQL Always-on and SQL Cluster to AWS and Azure Cloud (IaaS and PaaS). Strong hands-on experience managing large, high-availability database environments in hybrid and cloud settings. SQL Server and AWS or Azure Cloud certifications are required. Proficiency in SQL Server installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting performance issues.
