Outside Contractor | Distributor SalesThe primary responsibility of the Outside Contractor | Distributor Sales position is to develop and maintain sales as well as a good working relationship with Contractors, Distributors, and other clients while working with all departments to facilitate follow-through on orders.A successful Sales Rep will:Call on customers to include Electrical and General Contractors, Interior Architects, Designers, and assigned Distributors to develop long-term accounts through expert serviceMeet or exceed established sales goals, making at least 3-5 new sales calls per dayMaintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expensesDevelop quick rapport & quickly assess the customer's lighting needsWork with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to become an expert in all things lighting as well as other products available on the market todayUnderstand all aspects of customer and sales service including but not limited to (order entry, returns, obtaining catalog numbers and pricing on replacement parts, some or all aspects of project management, etc.)Have strong social skills, confidence, desire and ability to sell and most importantly, get the orderBe passionate about working in team atmosphere and helping othersSuccessfully complete all other duties assigned by ManagerEssential Skills:Possess 3 plus years' experience in outside lighting salesBe able to perform all duties to close and service ordersPossess experience in project quotations and producing submittalsMust be able to multi-taskMust be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and utilize internet search engines
