Our ESOP structure fosters accountability, collaboration, and long-term thinking.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the design and layout of complex printed circuit boards supporting high-performance control systems. This role is critical in strengthening DDI’s PCB layout capability, ensuring high-quality design releases, and enabling scalable, manufacturable solutions.You will partner closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to deliver robust designs from concept through production.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop complex, multi-layer PCB layouts (mixed signal, power, and high-speed designs)Translate schematics into optimized layouts with strong consideration for signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal performanceOwn PCB layout specialization, driving best practices and consistency across designsPrepare and release complete manufacturing packages, including Gerber/ODB++ outputs and documentationDefine PCB stack-ups, materials, and fabrication requirements in collaboration with Electrical Engineering and vendorsApply strong DFM/DFA principles to ensure efficient fabrication and assemblyManage and maintain PCB libraries and component symbols/footprints (Altium)Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering (ME) on enclosure, fit, and thermal constraintsSupport prototype builds, debug, and root cause analysis for PCB-related issuesWork with external fabricators and CM partners to resolve design and production challengesOffload and support Electrical Engineering by owning layout execution and release qualityContribute to continuous improvement of PCB standards, tools, and processesQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years of experience in PCB design and layoutAdvanced experience with Altium Designer (or similar PCB CAD tools)Strong expertise in:Multi-layer PCB design (6+ layers)Signal integrity and high-speed layoutPCB stack-ups, materials, and fabrication processesExperience creating full design release packages (Gerber/ODB++, fab and assembly drawings)Deep understanding of DFM/DFA principlesStrong cross-functional communication skillsPreferred ExperienceSemiconductor equipment, industrial automation, or aerospace systemsEMI/EMC design and mitigationHDI or rigid-flex PCB designExperience working with CM/EMS partnersFamiliarity with PLM (Arena) and ERP (SYSPRO) systems
