The facility maintains Level 3 trauma and pediatric capabilities, providing a well-rounded clinical environment with strong support services.Opportunity:Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - GastroenterologyJob Details:• Assignment dates: May 22, 7am through May 29, 7am• Provide inpatient consultations, emergency department consultations, and transfer evaluations• Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsies, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders• Conduct injection of varices and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) experience preferred with both diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities• Perform esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation• Conduct small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy procedures• Perform flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy procedures• Conduct colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred• Perform liver biopsies and manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion• Board certification required with ACLS certification• Must maintain active Texas medical license• Credentialing timeframe approximately 10 daysCompensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.Recruiter InformationRecruiter: Peter ZachowiczEmail: pzachowicz@bashealthcare.comPhone: (703) 574-1748 x214
