Human Resources Director (Full-Time, Exempt)Organization: New Hope VillageLocation: Carroll, IAPosition OverviewNew Hope Village is seeking a qualified and experienced Human Resources Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all human resources functions. This position serves as a member of the leadership team and is responsible for aligning HR practices with the organization’s mission, operational goals, and regulatory requirements. The Human Resources Director will ensure the organization maintains a compliant, equitable, and high-performing workplace environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction for all human resources operations, including recruitment, retention, employee relations, performance management, and organizational developmentDevelop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and nonprofit best practicesEnsure compliance with employment laws, including but not limited to wage and hour regulations, workplace safety, and equal employment requirementsOversee compensation and benefits administration, including wage analysis, market benchmarking, and internal equity reviewsServe as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectivenessLead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actionsOversee onboarding, training, and professional development initiativesMaintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standardsSupervise HR staff and ensure effective delivery of HR servicesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibilityExperience in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services environments preferredDemonstrated knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirementsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalismHR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferredCompensationAnnual salary range: $80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with qualifications and experienceBenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and retirement plan optionsPaid time off and recognized holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesFLSA ClassificationThis position is classified as exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime compensation.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementNew Hope Village is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
